Privacy
Last revised: 4 August 2026
This Privacy page explains how Latchwork Quests, an independent quest-room venue at Suite 1, Level 10, 428 George St, Sydney NSW 2000, Australia, collects, uses, and stores information when you visit these pages or write through the published forms. We host timed puzzle sessions, team briefings, private bookings, family sessions, night shift quests, and gift passes. This notice covers the venue website and the notes you send about player counts, preferred hours, and session lists. It does not cover payment terminals run by a bank, a third-party booking tool after you leave this site, or social networks you open from the header icons. Latchwork Quests has traded since April 2019. Australian privacy rules that apply to this venue still apply even if you found us through a social link. We run live quest rooms, not a franchise scheme, and we do not claim nationwide same-hour coverage.
What we collect
We may collect information you send us directly, including your name, email address, phone number, preferred hour, player count, theme preference, and the message you submit through the contact form or session list. We also receive basic technical data such as your browser type, device, and pages viewed, which helps us keep the quests, gallery, and legal pages readable. We do not ask for bank passwords or identity documents through this site. If a message accidentally includes a card number, we delete it when we notice and we still answer the booking question in the remaining text. Access notes stay with the card so the venue can confirm which rooms we can actually open for that hour.
How we use that information
- To answer questions about Locked Circuit, Team Briefings, Private Bookings, Family Sessions, Night Shift Quests, and Gift Passes
- To send session reminders if you join the venue list, which is a list for quest updates and not a prize mailing
- To keep the pages readable, the forms working, and price tickets usable
- To meet legal and record-keeping duties that apply to a small Sydney venue
Cookies
Our site may use cookies and similar tools so pages load, forms submit, and (where enabled) we can see which journal notes are read. Details sit in our Cookies page. Browser settings remain yours; blocking some cookies may limit a form or a list signup. Cookies on this venue site do not change a session waiting in the diary, and they are not a loyalty card. Needed cookies support the contact form; choice and count cookies are used only where enabled.
Sharing of information
We do not sell your personal information and we do not trade guest lists for advertising partnerships. We may share data with service providers who host the site, send mail, or protect the pages, and only as needed to run the venue or as required by law. We do not pass your player counts to a third-party marketplace. If a legal request arrives, we share only what the request actually covers. A host in the lobby may receive a name, hour, and theme note so the briefing can start on time. Mail about quests still goes to [email protected] for this building only.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as it is needed for the reasons above, including answering your note, running the session list, or meeting legal duties. After that, we delete or anonymize it. Comment names on a journal thread may remain if you posted them in public; write us if you want a public remark removed where we can still identify the post. Technical logs rotate on a shorter cycle than contact mail. Room notes stay with a booking until that session is run or cancelled. Named holds that expire on Friday are removed from the live board even if we keep a short venue record for the week.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal information, or ask us to stop using it for session mail. Write to [email protected] to make a request and include enough detail for us to find the record without collecting extra data. We will not ask you to prove a past session as a condition of a privacy request. Card charges remain with your bank; this venue cannot reverse a terminal payment from a privacy form. Australian rights that apply to this venue still apply if you booked by phone at 0404 081 928 rather than through the form.
