Quest notes

How we run a session

Locked Circuit is the first quest on the diary of Latchwork Quests at Suite 1, Level 10, 428 George St. A host meets you at the lobby about ten minutes before start, covers player count and how the hint system works, then walks you to the room. Once that door opens, two to six players have sixty minutes to share clues, compare paths, and race a timed exit. Named holds stay on the sheet until Friday if you write before Thursday; a walk-in start is only offered when a named hold has been released. The room stays Locked Circuit for that ticket. We do not swap it for Team Briefings or Private Bookings because a group prefers a different theme after they arrive. Booking notes come through mail from the desk. The host does not substitute a featured prop unless the room actually holds it. After the clock there is a short debrief, then a reset of locks before the next group. This page is a session note from a Sydney venue, not a ranking or a prize claim. We run live quest rooms, not a mobile app.

Locked Circuit after the host resets the room

Latchwork Quests opened the Sydney venue in April 2019 and has run Locked Circuit as a standing room since the first diary sheet was sorted. The experience is a timed puzzle scene on site: locks, a player ticket, a hint tray, and a short corridor that leads back to the lobby. Guests of two to six players share one clock. The briefing lasts about ten minutes and covers what you may touch, how to ask for a hint, and when the host will open the door early. We log the theme note, the player count, and the start time on the sheet before the latch closes. This page is a quest note, not a catalogue that pretends every Saturday slot is still free. We do not run a remote warehouse. We do not rewrite Locked Circuit into another story because a group asks at the door. If a prop or a clue path is offline for reset, the host says so in the briefing rather than hiding it on the ticket.

  • Sessions run for sixty minutes after a ten-minute safety brief for two to six players.
  • Named holds stay until Friday if you write before Thursday.
  • The Locked Circuit room stays on that ticket; we do not swap rooms at the door.

A pair can book Locked Circuit, though four or five people usually share the session window more evenly. Six is the cap because the second room is tight and the hint tray is built for one party, not two overlapping groups. The clock does not pause for photographs or for a late arrival from the street. If you need an extra weekday slot for a celebration party, write to [email protected] before Thursday so the named hold can sit on the sheet. Saturday extra slots go on the session list from this venue, not on a walk-in board at the door. After the debrief, the host walks you back to the lobby while another host resets locks, player tickets, and the hint lids. Treat a sold-out start as sold out until the sheet shows a release. This is an independent Sydney venue with live hours. We do not promise a prop we cannot keep in that room, and we do not start the clock without the briefing.

Team Briefings, Private Bookings, Family Sessions, Night Shift Quests, and Gift Passes sit on other sheets. Gift Passes is a seasonal tray only and is not swapped onto a Locked Circuit ticket. Night Shift Quests is an evening-heavy weekday slot with a different start pattern. Family Sessions is built for gentler themes and softer pacing. We keep those diaries apart so a guest does not treat Locked Circuit as a stand-in for a team debrief or a night shift. Later busy months add Saturday extras from the Sydney venue; those extras are also separate from the everyday sixty-minute holds. If a prop, a clue sequence, or the briefing script changes, we rewrite this note. Until then, treat Latchwork Quests as a booked venue at Suite 1, Level 10, 428 George St, Sydney NSW 2000, Australia, not as a list of rooms that never sell out. The host on mail during reset is the same venue that logged your named hold. Reset checks happen between groups so the next guest finds locks closed and props tagged, not left from the hour before.
